I started tattooing in 1995, when I was still a very active graffiti writer. Both my tattoos and my paintings carry a clear oriental influence, although I’ve also been deeply inspired by many different painters throughout my life.
I have always painted in a self-taught way, since I actually studied industrial electronics. But my obsession with drawing and painting was always almost a form of therapy for me — something that helped calm me from a very young age in front of a world that often felt overwhelming and full of stimuli that were not always positive. Through art, I could find a broader and more open language to express sensations and emotions, where words perhaps would not reach with the same precision.
That is why I believe some of these pieces contain fragments of those feelings of the soul that all of us have gone through — or inevitably will go through one day — with some of them even making small references to classical works that have almost become iconic.
